A well-planned wedding timeline is crucial for ensuring that the big day runs smoothly. From finalizing the guest list to saying “I do,” there are a lot of moving parts involved in planning a wedding. Here’s a guide to help you create a wedding timeline that suits your needs.

How to plan a wedding in six months or less

    12 Months Prior

The first step is setting the date. Once you’ve chosen the date, start on the guest list. This task can take a while, especially if you have a large family. Take your time and be sure to include everyone you’d like to attend.

    9-11 Months Prior

Now it’s time to book your vendors, such as your caterer, florist, and photographer. These vendors tend to fill up quickly, so it’s important to book them as soon as possible.

    6-8 Months Prior

This is when you should start shopping for wedding dresses, tuxedos, and suits. You should also start planning the rehearsal dinner and booking any necessary transportation.

Finalize the menu with your catering company and order the wedding cake. Create playlists for the wedding and finalize the seating arrangements.

    1 Month Prior

Confirm all of your vendors and give them any final instructions they may need. Order wedding favors and gifts, and start breaking in your wedding shoes.

    1-2 Weeks Prior

Get your final dress fitting, and start packing for the honeymoon. Finalize payments with vendors, and practice any speeches you’ll be giving at the wedding.

    The Day Of

Take a deep breath and relax. This is the day you’ve been waiting for. Enjoy every moment and have a wonderful time with your loved ones.

Your wedding day is one of the biggest events of your life, and planning it can be a long process. By having a well-planned timeline, you’ll feel more organized and be able to enjoy the day even more. Remember to take your time and enjoy the journey.
